Material & Finish

Made from peeled inner rattan core, a natural wicker material used in basket weaving, wicker furniture repair, wrapping, edging, and other weaving projects. The reed can be painted or stained to match your project.

Preparation

Soak the reed in warm water before weaving. This helps improve flexibility and makes the reed easier to bend and shape.

Natural Material Note

The coil contains multiple reed lengths rather than one continuous piece. This is a natural characteristic of rattan, as reed length is limited by the original cane used to produce the material.
