Installation Note

Half mortise locks require mortising into the back side and edge of the piece so the lock mounts flush into the wood. Confirm handing, lock size, backset, and mounting layout before installation.

I have a 100+-year old side-by-side secretary that belonged to my grandfather. The bookcase side had been missing a lock in the many years I've had it and I just shimmed it shut. I sent pics to the Uniqantiq folks and they had the piece in stock and I had it a few days later.

Left hand door lock

The left hand door on this old cabinet is slotted for Full Mortise Lock same as the right hand door. Will need to make changes to Half Round Mortise Lock to make work. Lock interferes with glass in door.
